The Bible verse from Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge #41 is Hebrews 11:6. Their challenge is to use a heart on your card; it can be in your designer paper, an image or an embellishment.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. This made me think of one of my all time favorite verses from Jeremiah 29:11-13:
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.I computer generated the text of verse 13, arranging it into a loose heart shape. I printed it on my B&W laser, then sponged with pink and red to create a heart shape behind the text, and around the edges in burgundy. I matted it on a punched white cardstock panel, also distressed with sponging.
The background was stamped with white pigment ink in a damask design, and sponged around the edges with the same ink. I cut the center out of a round doily and straightened the lace edging flat across the bottom, which caused it to ruffle. I distressed that with sponging as well. Rose satin ribbon was adhered and ruched at the bottom, ending with button with a twine bow.
The heart panel and mat were stuck together with pop-dots for dimension and mounted to the background panel with the same.
As a gift to my wonderful readers, I have created a PDF of the Jeremiah text I set for this card. You can open this up in Adobe Acrobat and print the page, then trim out the size you want. There are three different sizes on the one page - one large, two medium and two small. I used the small size on my card today. Please use the digi-sentiments freely, but DO NOT distribute. Instead, link back to this blog post where people are free to download their own copy. Also, please play fair and give credit to me when you post a project using this on your gallery or blog!
